Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Machines:
Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, routers) as per production schedules and work orders.
Select appropriate tools, machine parameters, and fixtures based on blueprints and specifications.
Programming and Adjustment:
Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and blueprints to ensure precise machining.
Make necessary program adjustments to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Perform basic G-code and M-code modifications if required.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
Record inspection results and maintain detailed documentation.
Machine Maintenance:
Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
Identify and troubleshoot issues with machines and tools, coordinating repairs when necessary.
Collaboration and Safety:
Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years as a CNC Operator.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operations. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is an advantage.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure dimensional accuracy.
Problem-Solving: Capable of troubleshooting machine and process issues efficiently.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and handle medium to heavy loads.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report production data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or diploma in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
Experience with specific CNC machines (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak) or controllers.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
